Connectors-USB

USB or "Universal Serial Bus" connectors were developed to provide a universal connection for many types of computer peripherals such as keyboard, mice, disk drives and cameras. The USB versions are USB1.X, USB2.0 and USB 3.0. They were designed to allow communication and provide power to the connected device. They come in 2 types, A-type (Male and Female) and B-type (Male and Female). The A-type has a flat rectangular interface and the B-type has a squarish shape with slightly beveled corners. The majority of applications use a A-B type cable. There is also a speed specification, Low-Speed (1.5Mbit/s), Full-Speed (12Mbit/s), High-Speed (480Mbit/s) and Super-Speed (5Gbit/s). There are generally 4 types of USB connectors; the commonly used standard, the mini size, the micro size, and the "USB On-The-Go".
